Day of Defeat: Source is a conversion of Day of Defeat, the World War II
online shooter that offers team-based game play with scenarios inspired
by historical World War II battles. Upon entering a DOD:S server,
players chooses a team to play for - either the US Army or the
Wehrmacht. After this, they choose a class, each with specific weapons
and tasks.
There are currently eight official maps available with Day of Defeat:
Source servers. Lowpings.net offers the option to install many custom
maps, as well as the latest updates and mods, including Event Scripts,
Mani Admin, and Quake Sounds. Lowpings.net also offers public and
private 100 tick servers, as well as 66 tickrate DOD:Source servers.
