Battlefield 2 is a computer game released in June 2005 by the Swedish developer Digital Illusions as the third full game of the Battlefield series, in which players fight in a modern battlefield, using modern weapon systems. BF2 is a first-person shooter which also contains some strategy and RPG elements. On BF2 servers, players can choose to play 3 factions; the United States Marine Corps, the People's Liberation Army, or the Middle Eastern Coalition.
